Foodtown Food Stores in Tipp City tops my current list of great food stores to shop in. The store is clean, organized and the prices are very competitive. The sales people were very friendly and knowledgeable and even went above and beyond to make sure I got the best deals possible. I should point out that they had no idea who I was or that I was working on a review! As a small-time operation, this store has the recipe for great success. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Kroger Food Stores-NO GOOD

The store appeared clean and had a good selection of merchandise that was displayed in a common sense, appealing fashion. The prices were just slightly above the competitor's but the many sales made up for the difference. Many members of the community, however, have expressed concern over Kroger's policies regarding customers with specific disabilities and minority religions. When I contacted the corporate office, they confirmed that certain “types” of those customers were not allowed in their store and refused to adapt their policies to accommodate them. My recommendation is that they bring their customer service policies out of the Dark Ages and recognize the diversity in their communities and operate within the laws that protect individuals from discrimination. I feel morally obligated to withdraw my support from Kroger in light of their discrimination practices and would encourage you to to the same.

Dayton Performing Arts- THE BEST

My pick for one of the best forms of entertainment in the Dayton area is the Dayton Performing Arts.  The Ballet, Philharmonic Orchestra and the Opera Have a great season.  Check out their season on http://www.daytonperformingarts.org.  Special Pricing available and discounts on the best seats are available by calling 937-222-3724.
